Chosen Solution
I tried to DIY a screen replacement on a kindle fire hd 6 using the breakdown and screen replacement instructions. However, I couldn’t find any reassembly instructions. I reversed the breakdown instructions, but the orange tape that was removed will no longer adhere to the touch screen/motherboard connection. So, the new touch screen does not work. Is there a way to purchase replacement tape? Is this a common computer manufacturing item?
You will need to order 3M Kapton tape or equivalent.
