My MacBook Air won’t let me boot into any mode And I would like to boot windows of a flash drive… how can I make this go away?

You’ll need to visit an Apple Store with your purchase receipt to get it unlocked. As far as running Windows from an external drive thats not possible as you need to use BootCamp within MacOS or run Windows natively on the internal drive.
