My cracked screen is pretty bad – to the point where the suction cup doesn’t actually hold well. It seems impossible and I feel as though if I keep prying it will break. It is actually just cheaper for me to send it to Apple and have them repair it for me. Any ideas?
Heat the screen up with a heat gun to loosen the adhesives that are under the screen. Definitely make sure the bottom screws are out first Start primarily at the bottom of the display by the home button and give it gradual heat. (5-10 seconds per side of home button) Then, use a pry tool and start from the bottom by the left side of the home button (facing you like you’re texting) and pry one side at a time until you get to the top.
