I changed the display assembly following the great guide. Unfortunately I must have messed up something. The shift keys and a few function keys are not working anymore. I connected a bluetooth keyboard and it works all fine with that one. I assume that it is some hardware issue. Is there something I can test before changing the keyboard Maybe some cables that are not connected Any idea is very welcome
try disconnect keyboard strip and try reconnect it back …if it is a carbon strip clean it with soft dry stuff
My preferred way is to load into OSX Apple>System Preferences> Keyboard, check the box “Show Keyboard & Character viewers in menu bar” Click on the new icon and choose Show Keyboard viewer. It’ll give you a digital display of the keyboard that will react to each key that you press.
