Chosen Solution
It seems like it should be fairly simple, but I’ve followed every “answer” out there to no avail. There is an updated firmware version on Crucial’s site that is distributed as an ISO. Can’t I create a bootable USB stick to install this on my iMac?
Install a system on an external drive. Boot from it. Download your update to the external drive. Install it on the internal drive, after backing up all your user data first in case all is lost. http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ss…
