I bought an iPhone XR from someone second hand and its fully paid off and i want to unlock it. I called the carrier of the phone (xfinity) and they said the original owner would have to call to get it unlocked. Is there anything I can do?
Yeah, you can unlock an iPhone if you are not the original owner. But if the iPhone has an iCloud activation lock, you can not activate the iPhone.
It’s not possible to unlock the phone without tracking down the original owner.
