Will not charge anymore. Bought a new charge pack and didn’t make a difference. It will turn on but will not charge. Jbl boombox 1
I repaired a jbl speaker that had the same issue. With the charger connector being plugged in and out, over time the charge port solder connections had cracked and came away from the board. 2 minute solder job and it worked as it should again. Sounds like yours might have the same issue.
Bryce Compton when you say charge pack I assume you mean the battery. If that is correct than you have to do some preliminary testing. First try a different charge cable/charge adapter. Next you want to try a complete reset. REmove the charging cableTurn on your speakerPress and hold Volume+ and Play button at the same time for about 5-10 sec or until your speaker restarts.
- If that is still not working the issue may be your charge connector. Check and see if there is obvious damage like broken bend or corroded pins. Check for debris inside the connector. If all of that looks good but still does not work you could be having a bad port or a bad charging circuitry on your circuit board. You’d have to tear it down and take a look at the board for obvious damage. Post some pictures of the board with your Question so we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question .
charging pin has broken
Check that your charger and cable work. Try them with another device. Check that the cable is securely connected to the charger and to your phone. Check that there’s nothing in the port of your phone, like dust or lint. This May Work, Peter
