I ripped the ribbon cable of the DVD Drive in my PS4 Pro. It is replacable I checked but I don’t know how to get a replacement part. The original cable has this printed on it: SUMITOMO-G [RU] AWM 2896 80C VW-1 -F- I cannot find a ribbon cable that is the exact same. Can I instead buy ++this one for example++. I would imagine you could grab any ribbon cable that had the same pinout and at least the same gauge or bigger to handle the voltage. But I wouldn’t get a random one because there may be a fit issue or maybe it doesn’t flex the way the OEM cables are meant to. Replacements are available if you know where to look. If you can’t find them on the regular websites like amazon or ebay. Check alibaba or aliexpress.
