The touch bar on my 13” macbook pro (2017) no longer works and I’ve read that replacing the touch bar is very difficult. I was wondering how difficult it would be to replace the entire top case (touch bar and keyboard) or if there were any videos on how to do it.

I would say the it gets down to cost more so than skill. While Apple only replaces the upper case at a very stiff cost, replacing the Touch Bar alone is also possible and a lot cheaper! I’ve done a few and its not that hard its using the right tools technique that’s mostly all thats required. don’t forget you’ll still need to remove and re-install a lot of the same parts either way you go.
