Purchased a faulty PS4 model CUH-1216B USBs are both dead i’ve had a scan around the motherboard using a woefully cheap microscope and i think i may have found a transistor or capacitor that looks faulty. However i know that on this model the southbridge IC controls the USB2.0 -USB3.0 and so i’d like to diagnose and rule out anything fuse or component based before i go down a rabbit hole. How would i check for continuity of the USB ports? I’ve attached a USB meter which gives no reading so there is absolutley no power there to the ports. Any help greatly appreciated.
Hello, see if there any continuity between at least 2 USB port ground pins, and try this set up at your own risk
