I have a couple dozen iPod first gens, and need to test them for my job. I have a firewire cable and a firewire wall charger. I also have a firewire to USB adapter but when I plug in the iPod to my PC a message comes up saying it shorted out. How do I connect iPod Classic 1st gen to my PC?? Windows 10 Pro Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz 16GB Ram 64-bit OS
Hi Gil Johbet just thinking if you have another spare firewire cable to try out. or perhaps suggest you to get pci-e firewire card, i feel it would be stable in this way. somehow did you tried with the firewire to usb before ? does it work? i am skeptical on this
Tried this before! Gonna need a mac to use a 1st gen pod Even with a few adapters my 17 MacBook Pro somehow works and syncs with my 1st gen pod
