The charging cable was pulled at an angle and it wasn’t removed properly. Now when a charging cable is inserted, it goes in but there is no audible click and is loosely fitting. Is there a way to fix this without a port replacement? Is there a way to bend something in the connector so it grips the lightning plug more? I think it’s the wings inside of the lighting plug that are loose but is there a way to bend it inward without a device disassembly? I have a photo of what I am referring to below.
Hi You to use a pair of fine tip tweezers to clean out the charging port as this can cause the charger not to sit right As for the metal pins you mentioned you could try and bend them out with tweezers but I don’t recommend it as you could damage the port further and it might be more that the port is deformed rather than a bent component Apart from that I would replace the port as they aren’t that hard and very inexpensive on sites like eBay Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
Replace the port, once it’s damaged it’ll never be the same. Easy enough to replace.
I recommend Getting A Volta Charger,And putting the port adapter in the port forever Via Super glue or tapePart: https://www.voltacharger.com/products/vo...But Keep in mind @hellomacos ’s answer is more practical,And you won’t have wired headphones anymore
