Hello, my iPhone 4 went into recovery mode after the Apple logo kept going on and off but would not boot up fully. I get the plug into iTunes logo and when I go into iTunes to restore it, it gives me ‘Error 2001’. I just called Apple and they said it is a hardware issue. It is not under warranty anymore. What part could be causing this?

I have moved the whole logic board to a different chassi and I still get 2001 error
This problem is probably related to the battery. I had the same problem, when I unplug the phone, it stops working. I also had this error 2001 when trying to restore my 4s.
100% best solution!! It is due to battery, but no need of replacement… Yes, just ask in any mobile shop to put charge to your battery externally.. Now try inserting battery and restore will be successful! Enjoyyy!!!
Is there anyway to charge the batter at homes without going to a shop? (I have the same problem)
