Dryer makes loud squeaking noise for a few minutes after starting. Can I fix this before it fails?
If the squeak is louder on the top of the dryer, it probably is a belt. If it is louder on the back panel, it probably is the drum bearing. If the squeak is loudest near the floor, it is related to the idler pulley or the motor.
