I can’t change the volume of the top speaker when I am on a call on my Pixel 4A. I tried factory reset and that worked for awhile but it stops working after a few days. The volume control works fine when put it on the speaker phone bottom speaker.

Have you been into settings and confirmed ‘change volume with side buttons’ is turned on?
