Chosen Solution
My phone was submerged for a half second when I dropped it in the sink, and I also dropped in on a wood dock earlier. No cosmetic damage, I checked the water damage indicator and I don’t see any red. This light area has some blue on the side, and it’s been growing for the last few hours.
The only fix is to replace the screen and hope the water didn’t penetrate to the logic board. I would disconnect the battery and remove the logic board and lightly scrub it with isopropyl alcohol while waiting for a screen.
