Wow… that does look like quite the damage. It could be that some moisture or other elements got into the screen, since it was cracked; causing the damage you now have. My guess is that the digitizer is now damaged, where before it was just the glass. For the repair and time, it’s just worth more to get a newer one. The Kindle 8 is constantly on sale and has a variety of colours and two storage capabilities. Any questions, let me know. Alex H.
