I have an Asus X540L that I am trying to upgarde to an SSD, but I can’t open it. The corners won’t pop open and I think the problem may be these plastic covers or whatever that are in the screw slots. There are supposed to be screws in video guides, but mine has this plastic. Please help me in opening the casing.
Hi! Underneath those plastic covers are the screws. Try prying the plastic discs off with a flathead screwdriver, that should reveal the screws. When reassembling your laptop, you can put the covers back on (the glue on them should still stick), but if you can’t just leave them out, they serve no functional purpose, they are just covers.
