Hey! I have a Braun coffee grinder type 3045. This morning, it blew a fuse and I saw a small blue spark, so I want to take it apart and see if I can spot the fault. Thanks to a diagram and a photo of a replacement part, I was able to find three snap fit joints and take off the first part. Then, I could just screw off the upper burr stone. However, now I’m faced with three screws (I think) with screw heads I haven’t seen before and can’t quickly find online, either. They have five slots which become shallower towards the center. This rules out flat screw drivers already, so I’m not sure how to unscrew this. Any ideas? Update T+30mins: The outer diameter of the head is slightly over 8mm.
they keep coming up with ideas to prevent one from fixing, don’t they? I have not seen a screw like that either. It appears to be called an E5 security screw and this company seems to be the only one with a bit that MIGHT work. The bit is actually meant for a different type of screw head.
