In order to replace the palm rest I have to remove all the internal components but a few of the screws holding the motherboard in place are stuck. How do I remove this screw without damaging the motherboard?
Sounds like you used the just slightly wrong sized philips screw driver. This probably caused the stripped screws. You can get a set of strip screw removal tools. https://www.amazon.com/Moody-Tools-58-06… Or if you have a small enough dremel you can simply remove the heads of the screws.
