I’ve heated the edge of the phone & tried using the suction cup to lift the screen, but before the screen can lift enough to slide anything (pick, spudger, etc) the suction cup pops off. I’ve cleaned both the suction cup & the screen with an alcohol wipe but the suction cup will not stick. Anyone got a way to get something under the display?
I just ran into the same thing with an iPhone with a cracked screen and I couldn’t get the suction cup to stick. Instead of a plastic pick, try a feeler gauge or rounded blade to get under the screen. It’s a PIA but you can do it.
