My unibody still works, but my screen is cracked. Is it possible to replace just the cracked glass screen or do i need to purchase and replace the whole unibody? Please help.

Yes, you can replace just the glass covering the display. There is a well written step by step guide to do this under the mid 2010 version of the mac book pro model A1278. It is messy and make sure to use protective glasses and gloves thick enough so glass shards don’t puncture your fingers. I was able to buy the glass cover with 2 sided tape on it online for less than $20. It took some time but was worth it.
