Is there a guide to replacing the keyboard on an Inspiron 13 5xxx series laptop?

Hi @gordol , Here’s a link to the Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1 Service Manual The keyboard is part of the palmrest assembly which means that you’ll nearly have to completely dis-assemble the laptop to get to it. Scroll to p.81 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove / replace the palmrest assembly and keyboard. Don’t know with your model but on other laptops where the keyboard is part of the assembly, if you wish to replace the keyboard only, you’ll find that the keyboard is permanently attached and has to be literally snipped off the palmrest and a new keyboard glued back into place. Here’s a link that may be of some help in that regard. Keyboard replacement possible? Dell Inspiron 3147

Follow these steps: Unscrew the screws from the backside of your laptop.Remove the backside of the laptop.Pop-out the keyboard using a spatula (or a similar instrument) from the corners.Replace the keyboard.Follow the above steps backward from step 3. Hope this helps! Regards.
