Hello I have a pair of Sony WH1000M3 they are 3 years old and have stopped working. I returned them to Sony who diagnosed the main board requires replacing. The very unhelpful Sony staff are unable to get the part so they can’t repair it so my alternatives are to throw them away or try to find a replacement part and try to repair them myself. I am after a step by step guide to replace the main board any help would be appreciated Thank you

as far as i can tell its not an accessible sparepart. however a micro soldering technician might not need one.if i were you i would find a shop and ask if they would be willing to try.another (riskier) option would be to find a broken pair with a working mainboard.sometimes people will sell a pair with a broken headband for 20$
