Ok, long story short. I got a Wii U for Christmas. It didn’t come with the gamepad. This was my fault. I’m trying to find the Legend of Zelda gamepad but it’s not easy. I thought maybe since replacement faceplates for the Legend of Zelda gamepad that maybe I could buy a white one and replace the faceplate myself. However, I’ve never done this before so I looked on YouTube and Google for a video to explain it and found NOTHING. ^^; Could someone PLEASE help me? I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me. ^^ Thank you in advance!
The Gamepad is easily enough opened and and faceplate can be changed. iFixit has a guide here. It does require some special drivers to open the case. First, you should call Nintendo, be nice, and see if they can help you out with a gamepad. I bet you they’ve got some faceplates and gamepads lying around. eBay has many auctions for Zelda gamepads. Search “zelda gamepad only”
