My phone provider does not supply call waiting, so I know it is the uniden 6.0 that is at fault. When I am on the Land line and another call comes in, It screams in my ears then rings.
Its built into this phone, it was my belief that it was a phone company provided service, if you don’t have the service, this phone will not scream in your ear. I do not believe that you can manually turn it off
