I have no video on my Asus Q534UX but do have backlight. The computer does work with an external video display, so there is something wrong internally. I have another similar laptop (q534u) which I want to try swapping parts such as cables and lcd screen to identify the bad component for replacement but do not see how to open the screen itself. How does it open?
I have the Q524U Flip Laptop. To open mine you have to unscrew the hinges and then with and shim, razor blade knife, or anything flat; pry the lid and screen apart. You’ll have to use a little force but dont worry since the lid is aluminum. After you get those apart you should be looking at the internal of the LCD. Hope this helps
