dell studio xps8000 hard drive failed have no backup. its a windows 7 i have original driver disc and windows 7 disc ..after I remove and reinstall the new blank hard drive how do I go about getting software up and running ? what do i do next thank you
Insert your Windows Disc you will want to start your PC. as it begins booting. rapidly press you boot menu key. (most PCs use F8) continue pressing it until the menu pops up, and select your CD Drive to boot from. It will boot from the windows CD, and you will get on screen menus to show you the rest of the steps. If F8 was not working, then move to F9, F10, F11, F12, and Delete are the other keys PCs like to use to boot menus.
