I was given a Ps4 by my navy roommate and he said the HDMI chip was fried. I already have a new one on the way with a new port, proper screwdrivers and soldering kit. I need to know step by step how to properly change the HDMI chip and port. I know I can do it myself, I do understand electrical engineering, (any engineering is in my bloodline) I just need to know step by step how to properly. I do NOT want to mess anything up. thank you. and instructions step by step work better for me than youtube how to vids.
Look up videos on YouTube and you’ll find plenty guides/how to’s. You just need to keep in mind you need to use a low melt solder to make it easier to remove the HDMI port. If you dont use low melt solder then it’ll take loads of heat to remove the port. Thats pretty much it.
