Hello, I’m hoping to install an ssd in my laptop I’m planning on installing it completely blank then boot the laptop from a USB. Once I boot it from the USB will windows go right to the ssd or will I have to do something to save windows to the add so I can boot it up normally without the USB but instead from the ssd. Thanks, -Brad

Brad – You must install Windows on the new SSD before it will boot. If this is a replacement, I suggest that you clone the old drive onto your SSD before installing. There is free software available on the web that will do that. Good luck, Russ
