How to change my broken battery door on my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400? Rgds M. Picard Update (11/25/2017)
Here is the good way to remove it but I don’t know how to remove the grip handle.
This picture taken from one of the repair guides seems to indicate that if you take the back off you can probably slide out the hinge pin. But note carefully how the spring is located so that it operates correctly after reassembly. (This guides are marked “Difficult”, but really aren’t.)
I’ve made a little hole just in front oh the pin in the grip hand. I pushed the pin. I removed the broken door and I did the reverse to put the new one. I plugged the hole with rubson. Around 15 mn to do that.
The battery door is in 2 parts, the hinge part and the door itself, get a flat blade and gently prise the door part from the hinge section it will slide off easy and then just click in your new part, easy peasy. Garry
You can do it even easier! The hinge part has a little rectangle hole at the end of the hinge part! Put your nail underneath and you flip the door part easily from it!
