How to check if power is going to water intake valve
Hi What is the make and model number of the refrigerator? You will need a DMM (digital multimeter) and know how to use it to test for the voltage. Place the meter test probes across the solenoid terminals or between a terminal and the chassis then the voltage should be there when the ice maker is filling or when the water dispenser is being operated depending if there are one or two solenoids. Be safety aware it may be that the solenoid operates at mains supply voltage level (don’t know if this is applicable or not as you haven’t stated the model) so you may have to know how to safely test for lethal voltage as well
