Hello Dudes, My English is pretty poor but I try to explain my problem. I bought on Friday 5/8 a Sony TV, KDL-26S2020 (manufactured 2006). Everything is fine except my HDMI port. When I plug any device on it, nothing appears (no video, no sound). I ask the guys who sold me the device and he told me that he had te same problem before. My questions are : How to check HDMI port on tv’s motherboard ?How to change it ? Where can I get this/these electronic components ? @oldturkey03 : OK, I’ll check it ASAP. Next week I’m mooving to Germany for 2 months and this week I’ve finals at the university so not much free time. I would go for your diagnostic option. I’ve already emailed Sony France to ask them for service manual and they don’t want to cooperate with me :s. They replied me this funny thing : “Sony France déconseille l’intervention personnelle sur un appareil et conseille fortement de confier l’appareil à un professionnel. […] Je vous invite à contacter le service SAV Cordon au 01 55 90 31 41” Well if you translate it means “Sony advice you to phone Cordon (after-sales service) +33 1 55 90 31 41 to take a professional care of your TV”. WTF, last time I used this “Service”, Sony/Cordon lost my phone and I had to send many letters to them to be refunded … Here is the screenshot :)
