Hi I have an old Imac lying around and I want to use it as an external HDMi monitor for different devices. I have looked on the internet and some folks have suggested to buy an LCD display driver board. The model number of my IMAC’s native lcd is lm215wf3 sd d1. Can anyone please guide me on this? Will this work? Is it too difficult to do as I don’t have an expertise.What all I will be needing to make it work?Where can I buy the LCD Driver board? (I live in India}Is it worth it? Thank you!
@yogiwake if it is worth it depends on you. $50USD for a decent monitor that you can use for plenty of other thing would be worth it to me. It will also keep things out of the landfill and decrease the already abundant eWaste. So, yes! What you are looking for is something like this straight and easy to install. Not sure where you can get it from in India but you can always try alibaba.com as well.
