Hi, I’m trying to connect my Oneplus twoT to my Samsung smart tv through Wifi Direct. As I know, Wifi direct doesn’t need any router and they can be connected directly. This is exactly what I do:
I go to Wifi>Advanced options>Wifi direct on my phone
I also turn on Wifi direct in samsung tv using Network in main Menu. Then it tries to connect to my Oneplus two and I receive a notification in my phone. Finally, they both shows are connected. Then I open Source>Screen mirroring on my Samsung tv and try to see my phone’s screen but nothing is there ! These are what I did to fix it: -I installed ES player, opened a video and try to send it to TV’s screen using the icon on top-right corner but it warns that try to connect to same network ! -Then I went to Setting>Display>cast and I ticked Enable Wireless, but still there is nothing there ! (My phone is still connected to TV through wifi direct) -I also opened the list of Wifi networks, and tried to connect to Samsung tv there, too (while I’m still connected to samsung tv through wifi direct) but it asked for password which I dont have it ! Would you pls let me know how to solve this issue ?! thank you.
WiFi > On
Oneplus> Wifi-Direct> Add device
Samsung TV> Network> ? Setting
Oneplus> Display> Cast> Enable* You must be right next to the TV as range is poor
Samsung TV> remote accept connection
Verify screen mirroring from Oneplus to Samsung TV is working.
Open photos or video from Oneplus and view on Samsung TV How it works: Samsung TV can either create or accept WiFi hotspot. Make sure you cast from phone to TV.
