I have an iPhone 6s that got water damaged, I know there are board problems. We have soaked it in isopropyl alcohol many times, scrubbed the board. Taken the covers off and still have no results. Can anyone help me out and tell me how I can diagnose my problem.
And it also has a broken cellular cable. Thanks!!
@caident no worries about the battery or the broken cellular cable. If you took these images after you cleaned your board, I’d suggest that you do it again. There is still an incredible amount of corrosion and debris of the board that I must assume that these images were taken before the cleaning.
Let us know how you clean it and what you use. Right now your board is not going to do anything for you. There is so much damage to the components that you better have the schematics, a good soldering station and plenty of practice microsoldering components. " Although I have no real experience", you better learn fast and practice microsoldering. There is no way to even start to tell you which components. You must clean your board properly, you must replace all the components, including the LGA U2GPA_RF as well as many others.
A lot of water damaged phones cant be fixed and its usually a 50/50 shot most of the time. The first pic you have shows corrosion and component damage. It looks real bad near the bottom middle of that photo. To me, it looks like the board is no good.
