How can I turn off the Switch Control while my Home Button is broken?
Have you tried using Assistive Touch? It enables all button features from a small utility on the touch screen: Turn on Assistive Touch - Apple iPhone 4S From the home screen, tap Settings.Scroll to and tap General.Tap Accessibility.Scroll to and tap AssistiveTouch.Tap the AssistiveTouch toggle enable or disable the feature.AssistiveTouch is now enabled. Note: Tap the Circle icon to access the AssistiveTouch features.
I have had this same problem of enabling switch control without a working home button. But I managed to fix the problem by having a friend send a message. I taped on this iMessage notification notification and then entered my password. Once my phone was unlocked in iMessage I could ask Siri to activate AssitsiveTouch.
Tell Siri to turn on Assistive Touch, if you can’t touch your screen.
