HOW TO DISASSEMBLY JBL BOOST TV SPEAKER Audio output port is destroyed
Hi, In order to access the audio port which is at the bottom of the device, you need to “rip apart” the orange silicon cover (if you have the black version), and underneath you will find screws that can be removed. If you want to completely disassemble the unit, you must then remove the top silicon cover over the buttons, (they are held up together with double sided tape), and access the screws as well. Then flip the device over and remove the middle mesh part, it is held with clips. Apter that continue to remove the rest of the mash from the front and back, again connected with clips. Once the mesh is removed you have some 8 or 10 screws to remove from the speaker’s side and you can open the unit. Be careful of some sensitive ribbon cables. Just did the above yesterday as my unit was making random loud noises and then stopped working…. something is wrong with the supply which I didn’t figure it out yet.
