Hi @shade_drezin The DC-In jack (charging port) is mounted directly onto the motherboard. Usually it has to be replaced as it cannot be repaired. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to disassemble an Asus R516-UX laptop. Hopefully it is of some help to you, to gain access to the motherboard so that you can determine if the DC-In jack is an SMD (surface mounted device) type component or a through hole type component. If is is an SMD component you’ll need SMD soldering skills to effect the replacement of the jack. If replacing the jack seems too daunting contact a reputable, professional laptop repair service and ask for a quote to do the replacement. You may be able to reduce the cost of this if you supply the replacement part and provide the motherboard only to the repairer, i.e. you dis-assemble and re-assemble the laptop thereby reducing the time spent by the repairer on the repair. Just a thought.
