Hi all, Looking for tool advice to fix my tower. I think it has been knocked and the board has come loose for the display. It still powers up but I’m getting no visual and where the lead connects to the back for the monitor appears loose. Before I open it up I just wanted some advice on proper tools I would need to fix it. Thank you in advance Update (03/19/2022) Opened it up and turns out that the board was indeed just knocked loose so I just had to plug it back in properly and it’s back up and running, thanks guys :D
@mrbubbles07 that will depend on what you find but ultimately the only thing you should need for now is a Philips screwdriver. Once you have it opened take some good pictures of what you find and post those with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see and hopefully help you further. Adding images to an existing question From what you describe it sounds like the video card has come off its slot. It may simply need a reinsertion and a small Philips screw to keep it in place. That would be an easy fix.
