I wanted to replace the home button because the button was bad but the Touch ID was good. After I put everything together, I saw black shadows on the top of the screen, so I wanted to remove the screen again and then see what was wrong. I removed the screen and the screen didn’t have backlight. I saw something on the screen and I could operate it. Then, I saw one little cable is broken. I thing this is why it’s not working.

Is it possible to resolder it or even reconnect them somehow? I don’t want to buy a whole new screen. I have other spare screens if needed. The screen is in an other test 5S

It can be resoldered, a backlight diffuser from another screen can be used but the 3 solder points on the screen will need to be re-soldered on that black piece. I’m not sure how to remove these properly as if not done properly can damage the screen. Edit: Tip when lifting screens from iPhones never let the screen sit out of the housing when it’s plugged in as it strains the display cables (or bends them longer than they should go).
