Chosen Solution
Whenever I turn the camera off and the lens retracts, it makes a noise like the lens gets stuck at the end and won’t retract all the way. I have to push the rest of the lens in so it lays flat. This causes the lens cover to not open/close properly. Any solutions?
This could be due to dirt between the scrions of the barrel. See Compact Cameras in the Restart Wiki for some simple solutions which sometimes work. If the camera has been dropped or knocked with the lens out there may be some internal damage causing the symptoms you see.
