Chosen Solution
My iMac fell on the floor and is still operating expeditiously but there is a crack that is somewhat visible but not massively visible. It extends from the top left hand corner of my iMac to the center of the computer screen and back down to the right hand bottom corner. Even though the crack covers a large area, the crack did not penetrate the computer and looks like maybe a cat scratched it or a slight laceration to someone’s arm. It is not essential to get this fixed but I would like to if possible. I have tried the eraser method, the Vaseline method, and hand sanitizer. Any ideas?
Hi Unfortunately you will need to replace the display assembly as it’s the easiest option and for most people the only option unless you have the equipment to separate the glass and display Here’s the guide to replace the display iMac M1 24" Display Replacement This guide isn’t fully finished but it should get you though the majority of it If you could find a screen protector or privacy screen for your iMacs display it could help make the crack less noticeable Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
