My Canon Powershot SX230 camera has scrathes on front lens. Is anybody known how to fix this problem?

In most cases, the scratch only affects resale - you’re dealing with someone who would buy a scratched Sony G E-Mount lens, as long as I can get a good price on it and it has no major impact. My main rule here is no rear scratching - that shows. The final image can sometimes show it in a few situations, but 95% of the time it’s just a scar. This article on the subject shows how much it matters, and when. Unless you’re doing a low contrast shoot, it’s usually a non-issue. If it was really that visible and the scratched lens affected a shoot, I’ll just retouch it. Test it in your “common” use cases best you can, and make sure it’s not visible - or if it is, you need to hunt for it. If it isn’t just live with it. If it shows, you need to replace the lens as a unit.
