I dropped my Ipad Air 2 LTE on its side, (vertical) , while in a sturdy case. The screen would not come on until I did a soft reset. Once the Ipad turned on, the screen showed three dim spots from the top of the screen going down, on the left side, like flashlight beams. Touch screen is fully functional. Smacking Ipad several times did not work. To clarify, the entire screen is not completely dim, but much of it is. The entire screen is still clearly visible, but the top and left are dim comparable to minimum brightness setting. After reading forums, I believe it is a backlight issue, only on the left side and top. There is not an Apple store in the country I’m currently residing.
well one thing you can do if you have the knowhow is to carefully take the screen off and make sure that the ribbon cable is connected properly. here is a link for a guide on how to do this if you have all the right tools iPad Air 2 Repair. I hope that this is helpful and your screen is back to normal in no time
