Reword your question, please. If you mean, “before you use it”, I would let it cool down first and then proceed to check on the battery voltage. (If you don’t have a volt meter, have it checked by your closest reputable repair shop) Make sure it’s getting the proper volts as inscribed on the battery. Also, if you have gotten it wet maybe, there could be standing liquid inside the device causing it to react and overheat the device. And no, rice will not solve the issue.
