Chosen Solution
Hi guys, The hard drive in my macbook pro failed, so I installed a new 2TB Seagate Firecuda, I also upgraded the RAM from 8 to 16GB. After I installed the hard drive, I installed the OS X, laptop restarted and I got the white screen with the flashing question mark folder. I restarted with the Cmd+R, in the Disk Utility it shows the new hard drive but it won’t mount. Help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
What happens when you reboot and pass the Option key, Do you see the drive then? Reference: Mac startup key combinations
