Any creative ideas for how to open the fireTV Stick remote when you first get it?

Simple once you know how. Hold BOTH ends of the remote, squeeze both ends gently and slide forwards
The person who designed this remote should be fired. Seriously.
Watched a video on YouTube with a very simple trick that works great. Turn the remote over so the little arrow is pointing up. Grip it firmly in your hand and hit the end firmly on a hard surface. If you do it right, the back cover pops right off. I got it off on the first try.
