Hello, again a charger for my Lenovo W530 laptop died, the second one. I expect the charger might be fixable, but I do not know how to open it without causing major damage. Has anyone done it? Also one charger has a broken cable, it literally is in two parts now. Is that a part that can be fixed? Or replaced?
Yes I have tried. Chargers, these days, are filled with a hard, brown resin. Unrepairable. Yes the cable could be fix, in theory, but NOT recommended as if the break is close to the block it is hard to make it secure and SAFE even if you are very experienced in electrical repairs. In an emergency you could, perhaps, for just a single charge.
