I upgraded the hard drive to a SSD. Now there’s a update that won’t install due to not enough space on the new hard drive. It’s a 1 TB drive!!! What did I do wrong???

Have you checked the partitions on the drive? Sometimes it could be trying to install to a “Recovery Partition” that some devices make, which usually is around ~500 MB. If you have another computer, pop the drive out, plug it in, and try reformatting to reclaim all of the drive space. (Use Disk Management) Or, you could just pop into Disk Utility on the install to see if the thing’s being recognized in the first place/make a new partition.
